El Pegaso, located in the heart of San Miguel de Allende, is a vibrant Mexican restaurant that draws locals and tourists alike with its inviting ambiance and delectable cuisine. Customers rave about its warm, welcoming service. David Dingman notes the lively atmosphere and accessibility, while Vic Flowers praised the chiles en nogada and excellent iced tea, highlighting the restaurant's thoughtful presentation options. The terrace dining experience at El Pegaso further enhances its appeal. Wilmer Chavarria's visit featured stunning sunset views and an engaging server who added a personal touch to the dining experience. El Pegaso’s commitment to quality shines through in customer feedback, with Alex Vachev noting the fantastic mahi-mahi on a busy New Year's Eve, while Cindy MacEachern-Miller declared it as having the "best margaritas in San Miguel". This restaurant stands out not only for its mouthwatering dishes but also for the exceptional hospitality that makes every guest feel like family. Overall, El Pegaso is a must-visit dining destination that promises memorable culinary experiences.

I can speak only of the ground floor restaurant here but if the bar and rooftop restaurant are as good they are definitely worth visiting. The restaurant is on a lively, traffic wise, corner a few blocks from El Jardin. The dining room is ...

I had lunch there with a group of local friends. The service was excellent. They made me feel so welcome, and were extremely kind! I had the chiles en nagoda for the first time, and it was absolutely delicious. They give you the option of having it served room temperature (standard) or warm. The iced tea was also excellent. Overall a great experience!

We came a little before sunset and they were quick to sit us and find a space for us on the terrace. The atmosphere was immediatly welcoming and being at the terrace added a nice vacation and relaxing feeling. Around that same time they were pulling the overhead sun covers to reveal the view of the churches around. It was beautiful. Our server was Fernando I believe, and he was playful bilingual middle-aged man with quite a bit of energy; he gave his enthusiastic recommendation for drinks but when asked about the price he just said “don’t worry about the price!” Which was just hilarious. After that they brought a nice chips and salsa appetizer and took our oders. The food did not come fast, but it didn’t take unconventionally long either. If you are hungry and want food right this second, this may not be the best place (though it’s good they give you chips in the meantime). When I asked my table of 4 to each rate the dish they got they said 3.5, 4, and 4.5. I gave my own a 4 just because the salad was overdressed, but overall it was a tasty plate. We also ordered some of their signature deserts (pecan pie and lemon pie) which were surprisingly good. The pecan pie had a sweet yet homie taste baked to ideal while the lemon pie was rich and well balanced. Overall we left feeling like we had a good meal and that we had a good time. This is an international-class restaurant; perhaps because it attracts mostly international and older visitors (from what I’ve seen). This was my second time in hseveral years to this restaurant and I keep the same opinion of it: I recommend.

Delicious food and great professionalism. The place didn’t accept reservations but we dropped by in the afternoon on December 31st, promised to return at 7:30 pm for dinner to get a table for 8, and the staff helped us and seated us with only a 10 min wait on the busiest evening of the year. Food was great(I had the best mahi-mahi I’ve had) and we were able to to order a la carte. Highly recommend l d it.

I recently dined at El Pegaso in the heart of San Miguel de Allende, and it was an absolute delight. The restaurant's central location makes it a convenient choice for visitors exploring the city. I ordered three tacos, and I must say they were outstanding. The Mahi Mahi fish taco was a true standout, offering a delightful blend of flavors and perfectly cooked fish. The shrimp and cheese taco was a unique combination that worked surprisingly well, and the beef taco was savory and satisfying. The atmosphere at El Pegaso is lovely, and the restaurant maintains a high level of cleanliness. The staff is not only attentive but also bilingual, which is a plus for international visitors like me. Their friendliness and helpfulness added to the overall positive experience. In conclusion, El Pegaso is a restaurant I would wholeheartedly recommend. I had a fantastic dining experience, and I'll definitely be coming back to savor more of their delicious tacos in the future. It's a must-visit spot for anyone looking for a tasty meal in a welcoming environment in San Miguel de Allende.

Great roof terrace shaded and cool with good views around town. The appetizers were amazing the Gorgonzola with pecan nuts was to die for. The main course was well severed and more than enough food for everyone.
